Coming off the label’s successful first release by Gohda titled “U Don’t Kno Me”, Never Idle Records continues with its second release, “Cold Shadow”, an EP that provides a good basis in understanding the roots of label head Ravver.

Like a lot of 90s kids, Ravver grew up glued to his PlayStation 1 and 2 and his Nintendo 64, playing games like Metal Gear Solid, The Bouncer, and Extreme G. These games exposed to him to dystopian storylines and their associated soundtracks (which he’d buy online and import to the UK from Asia at 13 years old).

Having also grown up in central London, he’s always felt drawn to urban life, so this Cold Shadow release is a nod to the games he grew up on, and city nights.
